Arranmore Island is the largest of a necklace of islands strung along the north-west coast of Ireland. It is a tranquil island that charms all the senses and is located 3 miles from the mainland in the clear blue waters of the Atlantic. It is part of the Irish language region known as the Gaeltacht, where Gaeilge is spoken as a community language and its culture and traditions are alive and strong. The island’s close proximity to the mainland coupled with regular passenger and vehicle ferry services from the harbour at Burtonport, ensure that Arranmore Island is accessible in all seasons.
